The ringcode text consists of:
* The manufacturer's name (not always present);
* The publisher's serial for the disc;
* Two plus signs;
* The disc's Sonopress serial.

Earlier discs have the number of the master after the publisher's serial, separated by a space and followed by a hash sign. Later discs have it after the Sonopress serial, separated by a hyphen.

Each part of the text is separated by a solid bar. The bar between the plus signs and the Sonopress serial is very short. The other sections of the text are evenly spaced around the ring.

Early discs did not have SID codes. When the mastering SID code is present, it is written in tiny letters below the Sonopress serial.

There may be a toolstamp inside the short bar between the plus signs and the Sonopress serial.
