The reason (as of today) why LG/Asus BD ODDs needs to be flashed into Asus BW-16D1HT 3.02 (PCB: JB8 2015.05.08) is that it supports Lead-in and the OpCode 0xf1 to read Lead-out through cache. Source #1 Source #2
