There is a barcode opposite the ringcode text, separated from it by solid bars on either side. The mastering SID code is written in tiny letters below the main ringcode (and is always IFPI L283). There is still no toolstamp and no additional mould text. | There is a barcode opposite the ringcode text, separated from it by solid bars on either side. Ringcodes
First type
There is no barcode. The mastering SID code is part of the main ringcode text. The text is done in a blockier font. There is no toolstamp and no additional mould text.
The text consists of:
- the mastering SID code (always IFPI L281 or IFPI L282), followed by a hyphen and the text "MADE BY PMI";
- an identifier for the disc (name or serial), surrounded by asterisks;
- a two-digit number preceded by # (probably represents the number of times the disc has been mastered).
There's a gap slightly larger than a space between each section of the text.

Second type
There is a barcode opposite the ringcode text, separated from it by solid bars on either side. The mastering SID code is written in tiny letters below the main ringcode (and is always IFPI L283). There is still no toolstamp and no additional mould text.
The text consists of:
- an identifier for the disc (name or serial), surrounded by asterisks (apparently the asterisks can be omitted if the serial is too long?);
- a two-digit number preceded by # (probably represents the number of times the disc has been mastered);
- the text "MADE BY PMI." (note the ".").
There's a large gap between each section of the text.
