Nuon was a special chip implanted in select DVD players that allowed additional functionality, such as for playing Nuon games. Four movies were also released that used Nuon technology for special features.[1] Nuon-Dome.com is a detailed reference for more info.[2]

Only five DVD releases utilized Nuon technology. 4 of them were released by 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment, 1 is a Korea-only release:
- Bedazzled (2000 remake)[3] -- 2000/2001 release and 2011 (NTSC - Region 1) rerelease
- Dr. Dolittle 2[4] -- 2001 (Widescreen Edition) release and 2-Pack release
- Shiri (Korean-only release, included with Samsung N591) [5]
- Planet of the Apes (2001 remake, Bug Free Version UPC - 2454302898)[6] -- Single Disc edition, 2-Disc Edition and 3-Disc Edition releases exist
