This is an attempt to track Konami IDs/Serials for the purposes of game preservation. As redump focusses on optical discs, non-optical game IDs are mentioned but only a few IDs are included as examples.
Konami IDs are of the format ### where is a letter and # is a number. For example, VX001 refers to the PlayStation release of Jikkyou Powerful Pro Yakyuu '95.
These IDs are present on most games published by Konami in Japan, Korea and Asia (Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, etc).
First Letter: For disc-based video game consoles, Konami has mostly used V. The exception to this are Nintendo discs, which use Q.
Second Letter: This indicates which console the game is made for.
Number: The three digit number is incremented when allocated to releases, starting from 001.
