DRM by Solidshield Technologies Ltd made in partnership with Tages SA and exists either as standalone or as a component to other DRM. Both situations of which can primarily be identified by the presence of a DLL file either on disc or in the install folder that went by many names (hc.dll, tdvm.dll and dvm.dll, activation.x86.dll and solidcore32.dll are the most common) or an Online Activator called the Solidshield Activation Manager/Wizard.

When not standalone, Version 1 existed as a component to Tages exclusively and if the later isn't detected alongside of it, check for the presence of Tages mastering in PVD. If none are present Solidshield is remnant or making use of Online activation. Version 2 and 3 when not standalone has been found alongside both SecuROM, Uplay, Origin and Steam.
