IDE and SATA adapters that are compatible with optical disc drives. Please note, while an adapter may be perfectly compatible, poor build quality can lead to sporadic or occasionally frying optical disc drives after weeks or months of usage, so it is recommended to use one from a reputable brand.

Requires a driver downgrade after install on most machines. Extract the CAB file (7-zip works) and install it manually in Device Manager. See this thread on the forum for more details. |

[1] According to the ID the device reports to the OS
[2] Uses a USB-A to USB-A cable, which is a type of cable that isn't compliant with the USB standard and may be dangerous to use devices other than the one it was included with.
