Nuon was a special chip implanted in select DVD players that allowed additional functionality, such as for playing Nuon games. Four movies were also released that used Nuon technology for special features.[1] Nuon-Dome.com is a detailed reference for more info.[2]

Regions other than USA are not known to have Nuon-Enhanced features (Asia-region Bedazzled and Planet of the Apes confirmed to lack Nuon features).
