This guide is for dumping GD-R (recordable) discs with SD Rip app and System 2 Disc for the HD Area, and the standard CD-ROM dumping method for the LD Area.
Contents |
Hardware Required
- Dreamcast console
- SD Card
- SD Card / Dreamcast Port Adapter
- SD Rip 1.1 (burn this to a CD-R with DiscJuggler)
- System Disc 2
- Compatible CD-ROM drive (for LD Area)
Dumping LD Area
Dump with the standard Disc Dumping Guide (MPF).
Dumping HD Area
- Connect the SD adapter.
- Boot the Dreamcast SD Rip disc.
- After the menu appears, swap in the System Disc 2. This will unlock GD-R dumping (skip this step for retail discs).
- Swap in the disc you want to dump.
- Select GD-ROM <bin> all track.
Submission
If the HD area has only one track, submit the information along with a Plextor dump of the LD area. If the HD area has more than one track, the tracks will need to be properly split to conform to Redump standards (Fireball knows hows to do this).
