The purpose of this section is to track discussions and changes from the moderation team, regarding systems, conventions, etc.

• 2024 02-22: Clarification that redumper / edccchk "error count" is the official source for error count in redump. This overrides previous conventions such as setting SecuRom to 1, etc.
• 2024 01-29: Updated guide to reflect PS3 Internal Serial source as PS3_DISC.SFB file at the base of the disc, instead of PARAM.SFO.
• 2024 01-29: Updated guide to reflect PS3 Version source as PS3_DISC.SFB file (if present), and then PARAM.SFO if not present in SFB.
• 2024 01-06: Clarification that Pre-Order and First-Print bonus discs do not get a datfile modifier like "X Game Bundle" editions do.
• 2023-11-15: Discussed date formatting and decided to change YYYYMMDD to YYYY-MM-DD and add dates to all Beta entries.
• 2023-07-03: Audio CD - in cases where multiple discs have the same universal hash, the earliest existing entry in redump is the reference entry to which others are merged, unless a case occurs where one has a true 0 offset (per redumper), in which case that will become the main entry and others are merged to it. • 2023-01-28: redumper is to be the exclusive tool for dumping audio discs for redump.
• 2022-12-11: IKTV VCD series is to be moved from redump to no-intro non-redump. Summary
• 2022-12-11: Definitive agreement that general karaoke is not eligible for redump (unless released on a console/system where all discs are eligible by default).
• 2022-12-11: Formalized rules for VCD inclusion: VCD Mod Guide.
• 2022-08-26: Discussed Unlicensed editions when multiple exist, or something other than standard. Use parenthesis such as: Unlicensed (Limited Edition) to identify the specific edition.
• 2022-06-09: Discussed bundled discs and updated the disc contributions FAQ. Most movies aren't accepted unless they are based on established video game IP. Mod discretion will be used for content allowance.
• 2022-06-06: Discussed compilation discs with multiple games/titles on them. They should be recorded in the database separated by the '/' character, unless another character is used on the item.
• 2022-06-04: Official pressed Photo CDs are all eligible, regardless of content.
• 2022-06-04: Discussed hybrid discs, where one system is eligible for redump and one isn't. For example, a PC/Amiga hybrid that isn't game related. In these cases, the disc will be eligible if any system is eligible, and it will be added to the (eligible) system's dat. In this example, Amiga.
• 2022-05-26: Discussed and confirmed that for transliterated Russian titles, only the first letter of the transliterated title is capitalized, and/or Names / first words in sentences. It should effectively follow the capitalization used in the Russian title.
  • For example, "Анабиоз: Сон разума" should be transliterated to "Anabioz: Son razuma".
• 2022-04-03: Discussed and confirmed use of the GOST 7.79-2000 standard for transliteration of Russian titles
• 2002-03-13: Discussed NUON enhanced DVDs, and all are permitted due to the low quantity.

Special / Unique Situations / FAQ:

• 2022-05-18: If a disc is dual-sided, where one side of the disc contains gaming content, but the other does not, since the disc cannot be separated and contains gaming content, both sides are eligible for addition to redump.
  • Example: a Cartoon Network PC disc that has games on one side and some cartoons on the other.
