The purpose of this section is to track discussions and changes from the moderation team, regarding systems, conventions, etc.

  • 2024 01-29: Updated guide to reflect PS3 Internal Serial source as PS3_DISC.SFB file at the base of the disc, instead of PARAM.SFO.
  • 2024 01-06: Clarification that Pre-Order and First-Print bonus discs do not get a datfile modifier like "X Game Bundle" editions do.
  • 2023-11-15: Discussed date formatting and decided to change YYYYMMDD to YYYY-MM-DD and add dates to all Beta entries.
  • 2023-07-03: Audio CD - in cases where multiple discs have the same universal hash, the earliest existing entry in redump is the reference entry to which others are merged, unless a case occurs where one has a true 0 offset (per redumper), in which case that will become the main entry and others are merged to it. See Audio CD Moderation Guide.
  • 2023-01-28: redumper is to be the exclusive tool for dumping audio discs for redump.

Special / Unique Situations / FAQ:

  • 2022-05-18: If a disc is dual-sided, where one side of the disc contains gaming content, but the other does not, since the disc cannot be separated and contains gaming content, both sides are eligible for addition to redump.
    • Example: a Cartoon Network PC disc that has games on one side and some cartoons on the other.
